About The Strictly Series
The Strictly Series is a collection of podcasts hosted by two anime fans. Bonding over a shared love of anime and gaming, our goal is simple: To broadcast to the masses with reviews and discussions over things that we love.
Why is it called “The Strictly Series?”
You ever talk about an anime and suddenly someone starts to talk about the manga or light novel, and then you have to stop them before they unintentionally share spoilers? That happens to us all the time, because we’re strictly anime watchers. And from there our first podcast was born: Strictly Anime. As we grew into a podcast network adding on other shows, the “strictly” theme just stuck.
The Hosts
Courtney
Courtney is our show opener/closer and our in-depth anime analyst. She prefers to binge-watch anime, is as much of a gamer as she is a weeb, loves male tsundere characters, and has been cosplaying since 8th grade. She grew up watching Yu-Gi-Oh!, Dragon Ball Z, Cardcaptor Sakura, and Pokemon, but her gateway anime was Inuyasha. She might struggle to remember names and titles, but for some reason she'll remember the Japanese lyrics to an anime OP for an eternity.

Karl
Karl is our resident synopsis butcherer. While he didn't really grow up on anime (unless you count Pokemon at 7:30am on weekdays), he got really hooked on the medium after one fateful day of watching Attack on Titan in college. As a result, he has a shrine full of anime figures and a closet full of weeb T-shirts. When not binging a show, he enjoys building Lego Star Wars sets, gaming on his assortment of PlayStation consoles, and trying to figure out anime OPs/EDs on the piano.
